We are thrilled to welcome internationally acclaimed dancer and choreographer Daniel Chen to The Training Ground Pty Ltd faculty for Term 1 2026! Daniel will be teaching Commercial Jazz/Funk to our Junior and Senior students.

Originally from Taiwan and now Sydney-based, Daniel has been a full-time professional dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher since 2012. After graduating from Taipei Hwa Kang Art School with a major in performing arts and theatre in 2010, he launched an extraordinary career that has taken him across continents and onto some of the world’s biggest stages.
Daniel has toured and performed with Asian superstars including A-Mei, Elva Hsiao, and Show Lo, bringing his explosive energy to music videos, world tours, and film productions. He’s choreographed and directed dance showcases, mentored dancers in professional training programs, and left his mark on TV productions throughout Asia.
Since relocating to Australia in 2019, Daniel has become a sought-after instructor at the country’s most elite dance institutions—including Brent Street, DUTI, Village Nation, Dynamite Studios, and HUBPAC. He’s choreographed music videos for artists like Amanda Wang and Aveneesha, performed at the 2021 Australian of the Year Awards Show and the Australian ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, and created works for The Dream Dance Company Industry Night and 2022 ADF Showcase. Daniel currently performs with The Dream Dance Company, continuing to inspire audiences with his artistry.
With training and performance experience spanning Taiwan, Los Angeles, Tokyo, New York, London, Amsterdam, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and Australia, Daniel brings that rare combination: global experience, explosive energy, and a mentor’s heart.
Daniel is deeply passionate about dance and can’t wait to share his knowledge, creativity, and love for the art form with The Training Ground community.
