We are thrilled to announce that Samantha Leeman (R.A.D R.T.S, Former RAD Examiner) will be joining The Training Ground Pty Ltd faculty in 2026!

Samantha commenced her full-time ballet training at Ecole Classique in Sydney under the guidance of former Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examiner Ms Prudence Bowen. After being offered a contract with Queensland Ballet, Samantha chose to pursue further studies at London’s prestigious Royal Ballet School. Following an illustrious performing career dancing throughout Europe, she returned to Australia to dedicate herself to teaching.

Samantha has taught at several esteemed ballet schools in Perth and Canberra while earning her Royal Academy of Dance teaching qualifications. As director of her own ballet school in Perth, she was selected to train as an RAD examiner and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) tutor—positions that took her around the world to teach and examine dancers internationally. Samantha also served as a tutor for the Royal Ballet School’s Inspire CPD series, sharing her expertise with dance educators globally.

In 2024, Samantha embarked on a new chapter, undertaking full-time study towards a Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Canberra, which she will complete in 2026.

With her wealth of experience as a professional dancer, school director, international examiner, and CPD tutor, Samantha brings exceptional knowledge of the RAD syllabi and a deep passion for nurturing young dancers. She is delighted to share her love of ballet with the students of The Training Ground.
